ALTADENA ROTARY DIRECTORS
Club Service I
John Frykenberg, Pres - Elect
The responsibilities of this directorate are to keep the club organization internally alive and well.
Club Service I oversees the social events, weekly meetings setup, past presidents committee, maintains
the weekly speaker programs through a chairperson, and presides over meetings when the president is out.( More )
Club Service II
Brian Hayes
This directorate is in charge of communications. Publications, news releases, publicity of club activities, the publication of our weekly newsletter Sparks
and public relations are a part of the responsibilities of this directorate. Photographers and writers
are from the club at large. We use Sparks to give members an opportunity to express their opinions
openly in writing and to inform our membership about club activities.

John Diehl
Membership is the life blood of this or any organization. This directorate is divided into three sub directorates: Membership Invitation is where we invite prospective Rotarians to lunch to give our club a and our
guest time to get to know one another. Membership Development and Retention are also addressed here. ( More )
Community Service
David Smith
All services provided within the Rotary Club of Altadena’s service area include but are not limited to:
CAB, Grants, Mini-Grants, Seniors Programs. Educational contests and awards programs are also supervised by
this directorate. Our Junior Achievement programs fall under this directorate as well. ( More )
International Service
Hal Yorke
Not only do we do projects solely on our own but work together with other clubs and projects through out all
the world. As a part of our international services comes Junior Achievement and a partnership with World bank
funding for entrepreneurial students. We dig wells in Africa, provide eradicate poverty programs, eradicate Polio,
Scholarship opportunities and much more. ( More )
Vocational Service
Regina Bette
Services provided in this directorate are community based. Committee members look for outstanding talent in the
areas of business owners, academic achievements, public speaking, musical proficiencies, ROTC, Americanism,
leadership training for Interact clubs and provide them with either plaques of commendation or in many instances
scholarship type of awards. ( More )
